Services: Sample Management.

With an exponential increase in the number of biological samples generated over the past decade, it is clear what the future holds for repositories.  Facility space alone is not enough to adequately manage the post research requirements of the numerous life science companies.  Inventory management is the critical component of a business, that stores and tracks millions of sample units.  A key partner for a research company must not only be able to store and retrieve a sample rapidly, but must be able to provide each client with a detailed report of the life history of that sample, within the facility, over a prolonged period.

PHASE.FORWARD is a leading provider of integrated data collection and data management solutions, for clinical trials and drug safety.  Their services are designed to enable life science companies of all types, and sizes, to automate and integrate the management of their entire clinical development process: From study initiation and FDA submission, through to post-marketing studies.

The LabPas EM™ (Environmental Monitoring) module helps assure precise control of sample storage conditions, to meet the quality and regulatory needs of life science companies.

With LabPas EM™, you can:

  1. Monitor all of your equipment via a single dashboard without leaving your desk.

  2. Record any type of environmental reading, including temperature, and humidity.

  3. Associate readings with typical sample storage devices including: refrigerators, freezers, stability chambers, incubators, and rooms.

  4. Assign security roles, electronic signatures and a complete audit trail.

  5. Support FDA 21 CFR Part 11, ISO and GxP compliance.

  6. View charts to quickly identify potential problems before they happen.

  7. Establish Sensaphone connectivity for alerting staff by phone or pager.

Unique identifiers / Tracking Inventory.

Each and every storage unit in our biorepository is given a unique identifier.  With LabPas EM™, we can devise a barcode label convention for numbering freezers, shelves, racks and boxes, and can record each location within the storage unit.

Within our inventory, we can track as much or as little information as you deem necessary (i.e. Protocol No., Period, Subject No., Individual Sample ID, Sample Type, Number of Samples).
